Jack Nadin's Books



Our Newsletter Editor is a keen local historian and coal mining history enthusiast, and has written a number of books on coal mining history, including "Collieries of North East Lancashire", "Lancashire Mining Disasters 1835 - 1910", "Hapton Valley Colliery: The History of an East Lancashire Coal Mine", "The Coal Mines of East Lancashire", and "Coal Mines Around Accrington and Blackburn". Jack also worked as a supply lad for several years at Hapton Valley Pit, the last deep coal mine in East Lancashire. Additionally Jack has written a number of local history articles for local newspapers and maintains a mining website, a local history website and an extensive archive of mining history.
