The Burnley Caving Club Secretary occassionaly produces a letter or notes that are distributed to members with details of important changes in BCC or forthcoming events etc. Here is the latest Secretary communication (certain details such as members contact details have been omitted).
Annual Dinner.
The annual dinner will be held at the Crown Hotel, Horton in Ribblesdale. On Saturday 13th November 2004 at 7.30pm.
The menu will be as follows:
Starter: Soup or Pate or Prawn & Pineapple Cocktail.
Main: Roast Beef & Yorkshire Pudding or Camembert & Cranberry Parcels or Chicken Pie served with New Potatoes & Fresh Vegetables.
Dessert: Sherry Trifle or Apple Pie or Peach Melba.
Coffee.
Cost : £12.50 per person.
Please book and send details of choice of menu and money to P. Wilson. Enclose a payment of £12.50 per person. Cheques made payable to Burnley Caving Club.
Annual General Meeting.
The meeting will be held at the clubroom 7.30pm. Thursday, 18th November.
Member Subscriptions 2005.
Subs will be due after the AGM this year. This is to allow for the collection of subs in time for the payment of the British Caving Association Public Liability Insurance due on the 1st January 2005.
Membership Subs will be:
Adult caver £30.00
Junior caver £10.00
Non caver £10.00
All paid up members will be covered under the British Caving Association Public Liability Insurance scheme. Cavers at a cost of £18.00, non-cavers at a cost of £6.00.
Club Meets List 2005.
We plan to have two club trips per month, one novice and one for the experienced caver. We need feed back from the membership for trips to be included in the list. We would also like a member to act as co-ordinator for the trip. This would entail making the arrangements for the tackle with the tacklemaster, arranging a meeting place and being the contact person. If members require more permits for controlled access caves than the list these can be included in the list. We also intend to include other trips of interest and camping weekends. The list needs to be made up before the New Year.
