Cavers in Pub!

BCC Cavers at Craven Hotel Giggleswick (known by many as "The Owd Station" being as the BR Giggleswick railway Station was next door) around 1963/64.
Members of the BCC nearly always arrived on Friday early evening had a few/many pints and then either slept there of made their way up to the Chalet at Selside, sometimes they would be back on Saturday and Sunday evening, many good times were enjoyed by all.

Click here to see who they are.

Thanks to Peter Blackburn (whose parents ran the Craven Hotel at Giggleswick from 1957 until 1964), who provided information about the photo and remembers most of the old memsber despite being "nowt but a lad in the period mentioned". Trevor Rambadt and Saus Haffner along with Roy Swindlehurst and Allan Clegg who first took Peter and his brother up to Selside to the Green and Cream chalet and then hence into and down Alum Pot, that experience set Peter on a lifetime of adventures both underground and in the air
